ImgArchive contains an internal basic EXIF reader. When an image is presented at import, This reader will attempt to read any EXIF data found in the image. If the reader can read the Exif data from the image file then the list below will be the tags it will attempt to read.

  • Image description

  • Camera manufacturer's name

  • Camera model

  • Image orientation

  • Number of bits per component

  • Software used

  • File change date and time

  • Original file date and time (may not exist)

  • Digitization date and time (may not exist)

  • Sub-second time that original picture was taken

  • File copyright information

  • Short Rating tag used by Windows

  • Rating tag used by Windows, value in percent

  • Exposure time in seconds

  • F/stop

  • ISO speed

  • Shutter speed (reciprocal of exposure time)

  • Exposure bias value in EV

  • The class of the program used by the camera to set exposure when the picture is taken.

  • Distance to focus point in meters

  • Focal length of lens in millimetres

  • Focal length in 35mm film

  • Flash.

  • Metering mode

  • Image width reported in EXIF data

  • Image height reported in EXIF data

  • The kind of light source.

  • White balance mode set when the image was shot.

  • Digital zoom ratio when the image was shot.If the numerator of the recorded value is 0, this indicates that digital zoom was not used.

  • Type of scene that was shot. It can also be used to record the mode in which the image was shot.Note that this differs from the <SceneType> tag.

  • Contrast applied by the camera when the image was shot

  • Saturation applied by the camera when the image was shot

  • Sharpness applied by the camera when the image was shot

  • Distance to the subject.

  • Latitude

  • Longitude

  • Altitude

If an external reader is installed then this reader will also be used to read EXIF data.
